I'm french I don't agree, we say "Il MANGE la soupe" "he is EATING his soup". We never say 'Il boit la soupe" this should be corrected very quickly, thanks ^^
We don't say this in English either, so I think the absurdity is intentional.
Why "Il boit le potage" is not correct?!
Potage is stew, soupe is soup. Terribly pedantic, I know.
Grrrr, this is terrible!
"He drinks some soup" is (I'm pretty sure) the way they talk about food consumption. Il boit de la soupe.
Does anyone here ever say "drinking soup"?
Why is "Il est boit la soupe" incorrect
