I love reading , and I know it helps me a lot when I want to learn a new language. So I've been looking on the net for a site where I could buy children - actually teenagers ! - books in swedish (mysteries ,thrillers and such...),without great luck so far... I had a try with an Henning Mankel Wallander book , but it's a (big) bit ambitious :) ... So if you have any ideas they are welcome ! V.

There is a lot of literature in adapted Swedish "lättläst" or "easy reading". You can check LL-förlaget webpage http://lattlast.se/ll-forlaget. There you can see the titles and possibly order them through Amazon later. www.bokus.com is one of Swedish Internet bookshops and they ship overseas as well (some additional cost). Here is a link to a search for "easy reading" in Swedish at bokus.com: http://www.bokus.com/cgi-bin/product_search.cgi?search_word=l%E4ttl%E4st&language=Svenska&subject=23

Elsa Beskow is my favorite Swedish children's author! I found some her of books here: http://www.bokborsen.se/Elsa-Beskow/Herr-Peters-Hus/5556746 Other good ones are "Pelles Nya Kläder," "Tomtebobarnen," and (my personal favorite) "Sol-ägget." You might have to google the titles to find the best prices, etc., but I think these would be really good to practice Swedish with!
