More news, please! More newspapers, news magazines, etc. in Immersion.
First I thought to ask our French experts what's the French equivalent of "Time" magazine or "USA Today" because while the editorial content is rubbish, both are written in fairly easy English.
Their French equivalents in reading level, at least, would be an interesting daily immersion experience.
So of course, I thought, "Allons à l'Immersion!" But I found only three posts under "News" in French. "Tant pis, Batman!"
So, I'd like to recommend the DL "sales" team hook us up with a news agency or two or three. :) Well, at least one "Time" magazine equivalent: news content does have a shelf life, after all.
So there would need to be a LOT of interested translators among Duolingo users.
I for one, would do it. I spend at least an hour DAILY on Google News perusing news of interest to me. If you are all like me, then we would have a lot of potential news translators out there.
If you like the idea, be sure to uptick the topic and or comment. Otherwise this idea will just be yesterday's muse. ;)
