Can't log in from iPad

I am unable to login on my iPad. I am only offered a 'Create Your Profile' window which will not let me log in. If I enter my proper log in information (it works on my MacBook Air) on that page I'm only warned that 'There was as error creating your account - email already taken.' Can you help?

Not having the iPad app, I don't know where exactly is the login option. Until someone with using the iPad app come giving where it stands, try to navigate in all the accessible menus (try going on left, right, up, down, accessing all menu you can) until finding how to switch from "create an account" option (which, it's normal, will not let you use information of an already existing account) to the "log in" option.

According to discussions on Duo forums (use the forum search engine to find them, for example searching for iPad && log), if you close the app (not just hide it, really close it) then relaunch it you should have an "I already have an account" button (or something similar) on the first page (together with a "start" button, which one lead you to the account creation process).

The create your profile message is in the centre of the screen, but on the tip right of the screen (I think) there is a small text message saying "I already have an account" which you should use to login.

I say 'I think' because it has changed over various updates to the app, but there is definitely a way to login. Using the "Create your Profile" attempts to create a new account.

Thank You! From the 'Social' icon at the bottom of the page I got the create a profile prompt. I then hunted around in the Settings and chose 'sign out'... which I did. When I signed back in everything was working as expected. Perhaps something had gotten hung up since my prior sign in. Thanks again.

thanks, i had the same problem, followed your instructions and my app now works again..but suggest to duo lingo that the procedure for signing in is not at all clear!!

I had the same problem. It's a very odd path, but what you shall do is touch the middle bottom icon in the initial page of the app (two smiling faces - man and woman), then in the screen that shows up look at the upper right corner, tap in "Settings", choose "sign out" and... voilĂ , you get the screen to login / sign up with your existing account (e-mail and password)
