Slightly unrelated, but I haven't come across it here and thought other people might also be curious:

The head of Germany is called the Bundeskanzler.

This is not a general rule, though. Angela Merkel was given the choice of being addressed as "Frau Bundeskanzlerin", or "Frau Bundeskanzler", and she chose the latter.
