If you know both languages you can apply here to become a contributor and make a new Duolingo course. I'd love to see a Farsi course here!

Assumption: It is likely that the English for Persian speakers would come first, as this would provide customers for the Test Center. Probably the same team would then work on the reverse course.

You might be waiting a long time. The Duolingo staff only allow so many courses in the Incubator at any one time, and they have a lot of languages they want to include.

If you're keen to be involved when they do eventually start building a Farsi course, there are two things you can do that seem to help with applications:

  • be active and helpful in the forums - they want course contributors who have demonstrated that they can interact usefully with the rest of the Duolingo community

  • use Duolingo a lot - they want contributors who have personal experience of using Duolingo to learn languages.

Surely a lot of people have already applied. I don't know how this process exactly looks like but I think they wait to find a few people who can make a good team and to choose a good moment in general. Some courses allegedly already have a lot of possible contributors but the Duolingo team is somehow hesitant to announce new courses. You should wait for the answers and hopefully soon you will be able to contribute to the new course.

I'm guessing it'll be months or years before Duolingo gives the okay for a Farsi course - however, if you want to make a course right now, I'd suggest making one at Memrise and posting a link on this forum. It'd also give you some experience so that if you eventually get to contribute to the Duolingo course, you'll already have some practice in course design.

You may want to finish a couple of trees and see how the courses are structured and then start putting together the Farsi course based on the examples. Start creating the Skills tree then find out what words or phrases you are going to put in those skills. In this way, when the time comes, you already have completed the course structure and outline.

I made an incubator in but It did not show up in Phase 1. You could also register and I think if enough people register for Persian contribution then it will show up there.

That isn't how it works. You can't make an Incubator - the Incubator is the system in which new Duolingo courses are built. You can go to the incubator and apply to contribute to a course, but Duolingo decides when to start building a new course.
