Cannot connect to Duolingo site from home internet.

First off, let me say that Duolingo is great. My problem is related to a recent problem with not being able to open the site on any PC connected to my home internet.

I use FIOS from Verizon to connect to the internet. My WiFi is established through a Verizon supplied wireless "N" class router. For 2 months - no problem. Any computer on my network could connect to Duolingo and sign in. On Saturday, June 18 , that abruptly changed.

On that day, my wife had signed in from one of our PC's and was working on lessons. Suddenly, the program stopped updating and logging her progress after she completed a lesson module. We were still able to connect to the site, but the site was not responsive. All other internet connectivity was normal.

Shortly thereafter, we were unable to even connect to the site from any PC - and that has been the case since then. I have done everything that I can think of. I cleared the browser cache and temp files. I cleared all cookies. I went into the router and checked the firewall settings (all was correct and as it has been for 2 years). I checked the general internet connectivity from 2 computers -- no issues (upload and download speeds were @25Mbps) I checked a 3rd party site to test if the server was up and found that it was. I tried to login to Duolingo from another location with my Suirface Pro (Core I5 running Win 10) and had no problems. I took the computer back home and the Duolingo site would not connect/load (In fact, I am writing this post from that computer right now connected to a network away form my home. 12 hours ago at home, this computer would not connect to Duolingo and I changed no settings since that failure to connect).

Quite frankly, I am stumped at this juncture and would be happy to hear any thoughts on how I can resolve this.

This sounds like some weird (blocking?) setting in either your router or on your provider's part.

I have just had the same experience. Yesterday morning, June 21 I was able to sign is as usual. I completed my lesson. Later that afternoon, I wanted to do some more work on my German. The site would not open. The Duolingo icon in the upper left corner on Chrome, would spin for about 1 1/2 to 2 minutes, then the web page that came up was blank. The Duolingo icon was now showing in the upper left corner on Chrome, but no Duolingo page was displayed. I use Windows 10, and have for about two months now. As of right now, 9am EST on June 22, I still cannot get the page to open up. I got to this forum by a Google search, which specifically brought me to the Discussion section of Duolingo.
I have had no changes to my operating system. I have not added any new programs or apps. The router I have has been in use for over three years. I have no problems getting any other web site to open up. Please look into this. Thanks. Martha

I was finally able to get back into Duolingo.

My ability to connect to Duolingo was down for a couple of hours this morning, but has since returned.
