I loved Duolingo, but she broke up with me since I used Windows Phone

Duolingo was my girlfriend. I met her the first time in the Android App Store. Since then I have been rederzvousing with her everyday. She was my little sheep that comes to me whenever I call her. Those were the happiest day in my life. However, the time ended after my Android was stolen.

Ever since that day, she never talked to me again. Everyday I searched for her in App Store, the place we met for the first time, but she never appeared again. As time goes by, my love for her faded and withered. I realized the cruel fact that she loved me not because of who I am, but what mobile phone system I used. Naturally, the reason of loving me was taken away after my Android was taken away.

I lost her and fell into the abyss of sorrow. Every morning I wake up in overwhelming tears and every night I sleep in incurable pains. Farewell, my love.

I've been in a happy (but entirely platonic) relationship with Duolingo for a long time, even back when my only phone was one of these:

Nokia 1110

I can assure you that Duolingo loves me no less for using the web version.

She was my little sheep that comes to me whenever I call her.

To be honest, it doesn't sound as though it was a very healthy relationship to start with.

The web version has more features, and is better anyway.

Timed practice, immersion, discussions, the ability to type on an actual keyboard...

I wonder why they haven't made an app for Windows Phone yet. I think that it's now the only current OS where you can't run a Duolingo app. They have apps for iOS and Android, and BlackBerry 10 can run the Android version, so it really is kind of sad that you picked the single modern phone platform that doesn't support it. As others have suggested, I would also recommend that you use the web version, though it isn't quite as good on mobile as the app is, so I would definitely recommend that you use a computer.

If you absolutely want to run Duolingo on a Windows Phone, then unfortunately you seem to be out of luck, since after decades (or roughly one year) of people constantly asking Duolingo still hasn't even said that they're considering it, in fact I think that Luis just confirmed a day or two ago that they have no plans to build a Windows Phone app. If you have a Windows 8 Pro Tablet and some techy skills then you could probably install VirtualBox or something like that and run an Android Virtual Machine with the app installed in it, but unfortunately that's probably the closest you'll be getting anytime soon to a Windows Phone Duolingo app...

Haha thanks for your advice, actually I have been using web version and like it indeed. I post this discussion trying to raise Duolingo's awareness to windows phone users after calls for windows phone have failed... I don't know whether this attempt will be successful.
