Translation:I do not want lettuce in my salad.
I just put "I don't want salad in my salad" and it was right :D
This is confusing. Salad = lettuce = salat?
salat has two meanings: salad (1) and lettuce (2), so you need some context and logic to figure out which to use where ;)
Same in German.
Salat is the second pillar of Islam as well. "Jeg har alltid en salat med salat før at jeg gjør Salat."
The same in Russian (салат) and Romanian (salatā)
I have learned a lot about "salat!" Hey! Thank you, guys.
This is one of those rare instances where maybe you should be marked wrong for writing, "I don't want salad in my salad." That is exactly what I wrote, I thought Duolingo was being facetious again.
I wrote that and it marked me wrong so it's fixed!
One big bowl of dressing coming right up!
