If you want something that is meant to be educational (linguistically), you can search on YouTube for "French in Action." It's a series from the '80s, very helpful if you don't mind a dorky story line that doesn't really get going for the first 10 or so episodes. Total 52 episodes. But it is all in French, and it is very helpful for grammar and vocabulary. Kind of a cult classic now, in a way. Better yet if you can get the accompanying book on eBay or somewhere.

Hello! On Netflix, a lot of shows have subtitles. Some even have French recordings. I use Netflix regularly. All you have to do is select Audio and Subtitles from the options panel. I hope this helped.

You can watch TinTin movies in French on YouTube. I also search "en francais" to find a lot of other French movies.

Looks like one in a series of French cartoons about a little boy, Callou. The above is called "Callou takes his bath with French subtitles" -- in case the above link doesn't work for you. For me, it's nice to be able to both hear and see the French :)

Netflix has a fair amount of french movies, and most of them are pretty good and recent. They don't have any french tv shows though.
