Yes, especially if you stand there and it's literally left from where you are.
In a proper context it may be okay. Here, it doesn't work. "w lewej stronie" doesn't make sense to me.
But "w lewej szufladzie" (in the left drawer) is perfectly fine.
Generally, to say "on the left (side)" you can either say "po lewej stronie" or "z lewej strony".
Does "na lewo strone" work? Are anything resembling this using the word "na" or "nad"?
"Na lewo od (czegoś)" could potentially work, but one should indicate what is that thing the port is on left.
