Fun fact: In Israel, Simchat Torah and Shemini Atzeret are the same day. Outside of Israel, they are celebrated as two separate days, one after the other

Among us Reform Jews outside Israel, we also celebrate Simchat Torah and Shemini Atzeret on the same day.

Thanks! I didn't know that... but that's not surprising

I am more familiar with this spelling of Sukkot -- Succoth.

And I keep typing "Succot".

FYI: don't type 'Sukhot', either. The single-letter misspelling on this exercise counts the whole sentence wrong.

Despite listening again, and again and again, I could not hear her say את! I initially put it in, because I thought it was correct, but removed it when I could not hear her say it. This is Not fair. She must speak more clearly.

Duo just dinged me for spelling 'Sukkot ' as 'Succos ' and 'Simchat ' as 'Simchas '.

That's frustrating.

This course is for Modern Hebrew, so you can't use the Ashkenazic dialect in it. If you did, you'd be wrong.
