Hungarian is in Beta!
Two years in the making, Hungarian has finally entered Beta!
Érezd jól magad!
Excellent and Thanks Hungarian team for the huge work!
I hope Finnish and Arabic enter in the Incubator soon :D
Finally! I'm going to have to try out the first couple lessons, I hear the sentence structure is very different than that of English's. For example, Rosszul vagyok. = I am sick, is it OSV?
Well, I think the order is pretty flexible due to the cases. I've heard that the first word in a sentence is usually the most important, so in 'Rosszul vagyok' the word 'sick' is more important than 'I am'.
Someone who speaks the language can correct me, but it seems to be SVO by default, and depending on the topic of the sentence in practice. Also, it looks like rosszul is an adverb, so it's not a subject or an object anyway.
Hungarian is one of the hardest Indo-European languages apparently, second only to Georgian in difficulty.
Georgian has a pretty script, it's on my list of languages I want to look into, but I agree that it's a hard language to learn.
Time to start learning the second language of my country, and that of our neighbors across the border!
Decided to learn it because I want to have some experience with an agglutinative and Uralic language.
The audio in that course is great, thanks a lot.
Like many people, I'm waiting for the Hungarian course to upgrade, but really, nice job with the audio :D
I'm about two thirds of the way through the Hungarian course. I just wanted to say thank you!
For the people who have started it already - is it worth it? Or is it a bit like Welsh?
