Hi guys, I am confused on which Swedish words have the article of "ett" or "en", and I am also confused on how to make words plural, I feel like I recognize when there is a plural word, I just can't make a regular word plural from it's singular form.

Read this for in-depth info on plurals:

As for gender, I've found that the huge majority of nouns in Swedish are common gender- en. I've just been memorising the neuter nouns as they pop up. A trick I used with German is to memorise the article as you learn the noun- instead of learning barn means child and hund means dog, learn them as ett barn and en hund.
