It's easier if you split it into two or three parts:-

Aber = An estuary or mouth of a river

Ystwyth = is the name of the river, easier if you split into Yst......Wyth (notice the last syllable is the same spelling as the number eight)

The Ap Geiriaduron has pa bryd  for 'when' (the entries for pryd  are 'meal' and 'mien').

Is this due to a difference in usage between South Wales and North Wales?
