Why "ott"?

From what I have seen so far in this course, Hungarian seems not to like headless relative clauses with "where".

A bit like how in English we can't say "I buy which is blue" but have to say "I buy the one which is blue", apparently in Hungarian we can't say "He stands where she stands" but has to say "He stands there where she stands", i.e. the "where" has to have a word to refer back to in the main clause, and "there" will server that purpose.
