How many of the 25 or so languages, that you are learning can, you speak or at least understand when someone else is speaking it?

Probably fairly little. I’m a ling. major, I’m interested in getting at least a cursory familiarity with as many languages as possible for the sake of familiarity with a variety of linguistic phenomena.

For those unaware: in the southern city of Dimona there’s a place that is officially a ‘textile factory’. For decades, Israel has refused to acknowledge what it really is. They still do, even today, when ‘according to foreign sources’ (thanks to former employee there John Crossman, né Mordekhái Va’anúnu) we know it’s actually a nuclear reactor. Israel’s official policy is ‘nuclear vagueness’ (עֲמִימוּת גַּרְעִינִית ‘amimút gar‘inít); more on that here.

So what ... Is there something wrong with that? - even if it's true?

For example: John Fitzgerald Kennedy opposed this, as we know through his correspondence with David Ben-Gurion. (And I believe Final Judgment is right in its assessment of this being the cause for his assassination; the evidence provided seems more than enough.) We also know that some of the technology was stolen from France using spying. And of course, it is more than hypocritical to accuse one’s neighbours of having a ’nuclear program’, when one is the main possessor of nuclear facilities and issuer of threats (the ‘Samson Option’ is one egregious example).
Talk about peaceful negociated disarmament.
