Hebrew SAT Subject Test
Hello! I've been contemplating on whether or not I should take the Hebrew SAT Subject Test. I'll use this platform and other resources to continue to study the language but I want to know if it would be a good idea to do so. Or if anyone has taken the Hebrew SAT Subject test or any SAT Subject language test before. It's definitely one of those languages that many don't study in my area and I want to hear opinions, no matter what they may be. Learning Hebrew hasn't been much of a challenge so far since I had studied Arabic for 2 years. But of course, the alphabet was new to me. I really enjoy learning languages though and wouldn't mind putting in the time to study the language. I may minor in Anthropology and thought knowing a little Hebrew would be cool. Then again there is no "perfect' language to know to study anthropology. I'd just like to hear opinions on whether it's a good idea or not.
The vast majority of people who take the Hebrew Subject Test are Israelis. I learned Hebrew through immersion when I was little, and I speak it and read it very well. When I took the subject test, I had just enough time to finish it, and was confident with how I did. I ended up doing poorly on it (possibly because of the curve created by native Israeli speakers who take it), even though I speak and read Hebrew at an advanced level. I would not recommend taking it.
