La langue française expliquée par un Américain
If you have trouble learning French, it's not because of you. It's because of the French language.
This is a series of funny and interesting videos about the French language from an American. He explains the different traps of the language while mocking it. I must say it's a pretty accurate insight. If you ever intend to visit France, he gives some precious peaces of advice regarding the culture.
Everything is in French, of course. In case you don't understand what is being said, there are both French and Engish subtitles! Contains some strong language.
Anyway, here's the link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=opOFm3KV1eI=PL6De5Va90TOR_XCZtpUyEG3TXfYoPMqnX
The one for English would be way longer, beginning with why would and wood are spelled differently and why some say spelt (which is clearly a grain) when others say spelled. Or...why piece and peace sound the same but mean very different things. (And god help us if we pronounce mean and mien the same).
Video is very funny.
Thank you, I enjoyed it very much! Sent it to my French friends, I hope they will enjoy it as well. :)
