Taid(North Wales)=Tad-cu(South Wales)=Grandfather. Nain(North Wales)=Mam-gu(South Wales)=Grandmother. Both the Welsh forms should be accepted please report this sentence if they aren't.

Is Bampie (sp?) accepted as a translation for tad-cu?

No. There are so many pet names for grandparents that we could not possibly include then all, so we stick with the common standard translations.
