"Wie ist die neue Klasse so?"
Can anyone explain the use of 'so' in this question? could it be 'Wie ist die neue Klasse?'
So at the end of a question I think is used in conversation to make it sound less interrogatory and more friendly. Might also indicate a more open question.
I suppose it must be like how we say "So, how is the new class?" with a similar friendly-sounding intention, the only difference being that in German, "so" is at the end of the sentence?
