"Si ellos fueran a la casa."
as a teacher used to say "You gotta "own" the preterite" and make sure you say and hear and write the sound difference between -aran -aron and -ieran -ieron
Not to make matters more complicated, but, how would one say:
"if they had gone to the house"? Would it be:
"si ellos hubieran ido a la casa"?
Thank you for your reply zopilotes, Could we also say my sentence with "hubiesen" instead of "hubieran":
si ellos hubiesen ido a la casa?
Is there any difference in using either of them?
