I was wondering whether this was another Hungarian word that just coincidentally sounded like its English equivalent (like nyaklánc meaning "necklace"), but this one is actually a cognate! Both come from the Latin caminus: English got it through Old French [1], and Hungarian got it through Slavonic [2].
