When you come across alternatives such as this that should be accepted, use the Report a Problem button and report it there. There's a decent chance the contributors won't see comments you leave here about it, so reporting it helps ensure that they see it so they can add it. ^_^

Just going by sound, could sál also be translated to English as shawl?

I was wondering the same thing...

Yes, a shawl can also categorise as sál. :)

I thought sál = shawl (= German Schal) and kendő = scarf (= German Halstuch). Not the same to each other? One is winter clothing, the other for fashion or maybe autumn or no idea... I have no scarf.

And nyakkendő (or kravátli??) is tie (Krawatte) which sounds weird to me, though ties probably were some time ago probably just a cloth without shape?

The German Schal is usually called a scarf in English, while shawl only means really wide pieces of cloth which also cover your shoulders.

I would match them up like this

sál - scarf - German Schal

kendő - shawl - German ??

nyakkendő - tie - Krawatte
