I know many of us want to be immersed into the language we are learning. We all know that we can watch movies and TV shoes in the language we are learning and its pretty easy to find good movies and TV shows in a different language.

However I wanted to find music in my chosen language and I found it being a much harder task trying to find good decent music. After searching for a little while I found a company called Putumayo that does great world music. I quickly bought the CDs called French Caf├ęs and Paris and I can highly recommend them. So if you want some good fun music try out Putumayo :D

Happy learning :D

If you look at world top charts (Google them), about half the songs in France (for example) are French. Of course, Americans can't be bothered to listen to anything but English, so any foreign hits have to be huge (looking at you, Gangnam Style)

I love this one French song called C'est beau la bourgeoisie (although it has some naughty words in it) the music is really catchy and I find myself humming it all day and learning the words although the lyrics don't seem to mean much when I translated them.
