kocsi too slangy??
no, it should be accepted, too
I am a native Hungarian speaker, kocsi is the more common word. I vaguely recall reading that the English coach comes from the Hungarian kocsi.
I'm totally new here. "kocsi" for auto? Also I wrote "az auto". Why is this incorrect? Thanks for any help.
the article is wrong. a car=egy autó or egy kocsi, if you wish (although for me, kocsi does feel informal or almost slangish)
"az autó" = "the car"
"egy autó" = "a car"
