French Beta & Italian

It was my understanding that Italian was next in line for Duo. However it seems now that Portuguese (Brazil) has now taken its place. Is Italian now on the "back-burner"? Also, if they are planning on continuing with Portuguese (Brazil) and now adding Chinese, I'm curious to know if the remainder of the French Beta lessons have also been put on hold. It would be nice to see the French Beta lessons completed and opened up before introducing Portuguese (Brazil), though if not, I imagine Duo has its reasons.

Any insight to this would be appreciated. Thank you.
