Hi!!! I recently finished my 4th tree, Norwegian from English!!! I have several things to say about this course so first off:

The Norwegian course is awesome!!! Thank you over and over again to the moderators. This was the funnest course EVER. So many allusions to pop culture! So many weird, funny and strange sentences! Not to mention that Norwegian is a fairly easy language (not nearly as scary as I thought.)

Although Norwegian was way too lengthy of a course, I appreciated the fact that there were no skills with 10 lessons in them. That made progression much easier.

Now, because there is no reverse course, I must ask: Does anyone know where I could get more practice writing in Norwegian?

Now, onto less serious matters: Theron is still impatient about his bride. Does anyone know who she is, or where she is? The most recent update was that he would find her in Russia, but still, more information would be nice...

Tusen takk!

Congratulations!!

What's this about Theron and his bride? Is that in the course?

If not, wouldn't that be awesome if the courses were set up so all the lessons tell a story? You'd have to finnish the course to see what happens.

The basic skill would be Theron meeting his bride "hello and whatnot" and the middle there would be their adventures and in the end, you'd see if they get married or whatever.

Wouldn't that be awesome if the courses were set up so all the lessons tell a story - this is precisely what the Norwegian course is. They promised me a Norwegian wife, but she never showed up... now I find out it's the secretary's fault. I need to talk to Deliciae and complain about the characters she lets into her course. And I want someone to eat cheese with...

So the moral of the story is, be careful with the Norwegian course. It may completely rewrite your future, if not your past.

Theron and his bride.... :-D It started when the course told him (Theron126 is his username) that the wedding was tomorrow. But the bride didn't show up for this wedding. And then future sentences fit, and the whole thing went crazy.... :-D

It's always the most fun when you're racing through a course hoping to get more information on a sentence that was said earlier (for example, I was trying to figure out how Norway was doing with a chicken as prime minister, or in Irish, where the main "character" Pól was getting into all sorts of shenanigans with cats.

Good job! Yes, Norwegian does have a rather substantial tree; it was shorter, then they went and released tree 2.0 and made all of us who'd already completed it scramble to fill in the gaps.

Not sure the best place to continue practicing writing. Perhaps you could find yourself a Norwegian pen-pal?

Good job! Four trees, wow! I barely crawled to the finishing point of only one, and I'm dragging my feet to get two done before August ends. Out of curiosity, are you planning to conquer a fifth tree?

As for writing in Norwegian, you can always start writing stories, poems or journals in a language you're learning. I occasionally write Spanish poems to keep vocabulary fresh and practice grammar.
