Why not elle est...
It's a modified noun: http://french.about.com/library/weekly/aa032500.htm
Is this an appropriate way to call a lady fat
I think this is wrong. Should 'c'est une femme grande' not be 'That's a big woman?'
I'm confused...c'est un chat" translates to "this is a cat" but c'est une femme grande translates to "SHE IS a big woman?"
Yes I'm confused.... can somebody please explain? This is against everything I was taught in the beginning. When would anybody use C'est as 'She is'?? She is not 'it'
Les deux sont possible, "c'est" et "elle est", selon la situation
So if you want to say " she is a woman" then " elles est une femme" should be used, but if she is a big, beautiful, short woman then "elles" turns into "c'est". Is that right?
