Should it be "where is the remote" as opposed to "where the remote control?" Ble mae'r bell? Ble mae'r rheod... bell?

Both are fine since "Rheolydd pell" is just the word for "Remote control" which get shortened to "Remote" in English.

It didn't accept "Ble mae'r pell."

It shouldn't since that is not used in Welsh. As I said you shorten "Remote control" to "Romote" in English, but this makes no sense in Welsh.

'ble mae'r bell' would be something like 'where is far' in welsh wouldn't it?
