What Happened to the Turtle/Slow Pronunciation?
One of the things that has set Duolingo apart from other learning programs for me is the option to use the slow/turtle pronunciation.
When I did my lessons today, it was gone. Is this just me, or have other students noticed this? Has Duolingo ashcanned one of the best aspects of the program?
hoping not, matt rosemier
I was using it an hour or two ago and it seemed to be working just fine.
Turtle comes and goes and I think it is to do with individual progress, but I have not discerned any pattern.
Could you relocate this discussion in the “Troubleshooting" forum? Which is the place meant for such discussion. Thx!
To relocate it (\/!\ please, don’t create a new one \/!\), edit your original post then select said forum in the drop-down menu on top-left of the edition area (see here for details).
Have a look to this short guide to help you knowing where to post your (future) discussions on Duolingo’s forums.
Just to be sure: it disappeared for your French and Spanish courses?
Yes, both. I am only just starting French, and it's gone from there as well.
The slow mode is available only for audio exercises. Are you missing it in them?
Hopefully this is not again one of those A/B tests. I need the turtle for my Spanish, I actually would die without it^^
sorry, folks. My bad. i got a little confused and thought that the turtle was supposed to be there on all my exercises, when in fact it's only there for certain types. And it's still there for me with those types.
Lo siento mucho, es mi culpa.
It's gone for me too. Why why why? And why can't we contact a real person on Duolingo?
