Correct solution: • The ships leave for England. • The ships depart to England.

Why can "to" be used with "depart" and not with "leave"?

Thanks a lot, this gave my mind a little clearance. So I can calmly leave for my studies. Now I am going to my table where is my laptop, because it's much more comfortable than studying on a cellphone. :D
