How about It's a walking route?

That's exactly what I said, too! It should be added.

In the U.K. 'footpath' would be the usual translation.

Would anyone actually say this? I feel like people/pedestrian path -שביל אנשים- wouls be more common

@dkommel There is no such a thing as שביל אנשים. The best translation for walking path is indeed מסלול הליכה (literally walking path/route). Sometimes, when you want to emphasize pedestrians, you'd say שביל להולכי רגל (pedestrian path/walkway).

I don't think so. We don't say "people path" in English, and I think it would sound weird in Hebrew as well. שביל, perhaps. Because מסלול is much more like "route" or "course." But definitely not אנשים.

I I was giving the direct translation to what I though would be more common in Hebrew. I know that "people path" isn't good English lol. But I've never (consciously) heard מסלול הליכה, while I'm pretty sure I've heard שביל אנשים before. I may be wrong though

Well, מִסְלוּל־הֲלִיכָה seems often to be translated as hiking route.

agreed, that or hiking trail for anything long distance. Footpath for shorter stretches in and around cities.
