"Bạn học tiếng Việt lúc nào" is the only one of three options that will work on my multiple choice question. But it is the first time I have seen "lúc nào" and I am well into the lessons on Questions...

Is it also correct to say "Bạn khi nào học Tiếng Việt?" ?

The above translation was not one of the choices. The correct answer was "luc nao" (my computer does not have accents). This is the first time this has been introduced and i've completed the question section (i'm doing a review). Can someone please explain what this is and how is it different from "khi nao"?

Yes I am doing likewise and this is new, and untaught.

Plus now they add 'bao giờ'--also new, untaught, unlisted in the vocabulary. Guys I'm all for learning new words but not in repeat passes to refresh old material. Save them for new modules.

"lúc nào" is another way to say "when?" in Vietnamese.
But it was NOT mentioned in the Tips for this lesson (as of March 28, 2020). I often use Google translate to check on the words and phrases that Duolingo uses but did not mention in its Tips.

The core of learning any language--or anything else--is constant re-exposure and repetition. Hitting you with synonyms is not re-exposure and repetition.

Does "Khi nào bạn học tiếng Việt?" work too?

I also thought "Bạn học tiếng Việt khi nào?" would be the correct translation, but why is this version not among the 3 possible answers?

The above correct answer is not one of the options.

tôi là người VN nên tôi nói tiếng VIỆT

The two answers are different!

'lúc nào'-- not in the vocabulary list.

Isn't this "Do you study Vietnamese NOW"? not "when? --isn't that khi nào?

"khi" = "time" (in the general habitual sense, as in "what time do you eat breakfast?") "nào" = "which" (as in "which one?")

Above translation was not a choice...gave new vocabulary that was never taught

Dear Duolingo-- The translation listed here on the discussion page does NOT match any of the choices on this question.

https://www.duolingo.com/profile/micahdee

As of March 27, 2020 - Of the three choices offered, the correct answer ends with "bao giờ", which is a way to say "now" (=at this time) Vietnamese. But it is NOT listed in the Tips before the lesson, only "khi nào." And can "bao giờ" be used to ask "when?" ?? :(
