when do we put the adjectives in front of the word and when behind? i thought it supposed to be behind.

There is an acronym B.A.G.S. (Beauty, Age, Goodness, Size) that works pretty well.

When an adjective fits into one of those categories, it goes before the noun. In this one "nouvell" pertains to age, so it goes before the noun.
