Languages you are learning on your profile

Hello all

Since you can no longer see other users' trees on their profile, and since XPs add up regardless of the reference language you use, I was wondering why the profiles are still different depending on which interface you use?

I mean that I don't see why I don't have one unified profile showing all my flags and levels (Spanish, French, German and English) to all other users.

What do you think?

I think the main thing duolingo needs to work on is unifying everything. I don't like how separate we are from the other duo users using other languages. I also don't like that I can't change the interface language without changing the language I'm learning.

The Android interface is now set on the language of your phone, no matter which language you are learning. And somehow it works well :-)

Sweet! I hope they plan on adding this feature on the actual site. :D

one unified profile showing all my flags and levels {and also English from which language they are choosing} to all other users would be like icing on a lovely cake... I actually finished one Polish lesson today which is remarkably difficult ......but enjoying it and it is fun

I'm actually glad you say that. As I didn't grow up in Poland, my Polish isn't perfect and I'm using Duo to practice my writing skills. I find a lot of mistakes, but I don't always report them because I'm not sure if I'm right.

But you saying that, and the fact that 90% of my reports are indeed accepted make me think I might not be as bad as I think and there may be more mistakes in the course than I thought...

There are some problems, like "to jest dom" gets translated as "it is a house", but it's actually "this is a house"

I noticed that one early in the tree but I stopped reporting it since it's everywhere...

What is more frustrating to me is that many alternative translations aren't accepted

Same, but at some point I wonder if it's just me speaking incorrectly or too slangy. >.<

I'm too lazy to continuously switch profiles. I also prefer if all courses I wish to take are in the same profile.

I think it would be nice to have all the languages you are learning plus your native language in a circle with lines connecting them that show what languages you are learning from which languages.
