"I am talking."
"Beszélgetni" is "to have a conversation", "to chat". It has a "frequentative" suffix: "-gat"/"-get". It is a mutual, social, interactive activity.
"Beszélni" is just "to talk". So, I could be giving a speech. It can also mean having a talk with somebody, but not in the social sense, more like taking care of something.
How can we know the difference in what is implied in this instance based upon the ambiguity of the initial phrase: "I am talking" without any frame of reference?
