Your translations seem to make sense, but keep in mind that the meaning of many words depend on context, this is especially true for prepositions. E.g.

  • ik reis met de auto = I travel by car
  • ik reis met een vriend = I travel with a friend
  • ik ben slecht in sport = I'm bad at sports
  • ik ben slecht in vorm = I'm in bad shape
  • ik ben op school = I'm at school
  • ik ben op jou = I'm in love with you (used by kids up to say 15 years old)
  • ik ben op vakantie = I'm on holiday

It's best to try to understand grammar, meaning and context in your target language, not translate everything back to English. Word for word translations often don't work.
