How to use duoLingo
I just started duoLingo for Hebrew tonight. I don't know how to navigate my way around, and I don't understand the terminology, for example, lingot, tree, immersion, etc. Can someone please help me? Is there a guide I can find here to show me how to use this?
Lingots are just a form of "currency" on the site used to purchase certain things, and can be obtained from completing lessons or being gifted them (Here, have one). A tree is all of those skills you see as you go down your Hebrew course lessons. Immersion is like translating exercises of articles (I think, I've never used it).If I'm wrong there is always a FAQ
Btw, I know this wasn't apart of your question, but how are you enjoying Hebrew? I'm considering giving it a try.
Hi Your_Tlazolteoti, thanks for your help! I am enjoying it very much. I moved to Israel in 2012 and have been learning Hebrew since then. I am still taking Hebrew classes, and someone told me that duoLingo just started offering Hebrew. I decided to check it out. What language are you learning?
No problem at all! I don't learn much on here, I teach Nahuatl in the forums. However, I am waiting for a few courses to be released and now I may try Hebrew :)
Now, you really have me curious - from which country do they speak Nahuati? I never heard of that language before.
Hi onthehype25 - Thanks for your help! Just curious, what language are you learning?
20 here at Duolingo plus languages in reverse to English and a few elsewhere, but I am far from being good at most of them. You will pass me up in Hebrew, since I have spread myself so thin.
