Finally got through "Object Pronouns" :)
I know from following the behind the scenes posts I'm not the only one at any level that had a problem with this. You guys/gals carried me through. I may have gotten through it, but I sure don't know "Object Pronouns" "Reflexive", "Se" etc. But at least I know what I don't know and what I really need to work on. I'm 60 years old and feel like going out and doing handsprings.
For some reason, I have become mildly obsessed with Direct Objects. I love learning about them, how to use them, how word order affects usage. It is so interesting. Once I start researching something, I have a hard time stopping.
Although, se is still a bit of a challenge for me. I think I still need a little more exposure to it.
Unsolicited Advice: You may want to move this to the Spanish Forum (edit, post to: change to Spanish.
They are the worst! I still have problems with them. If I ever really master them I will feel like doing handsprings too!
Amen! Knowing that others had the same problems gave me courage to go on myself.
So pleased there are some other 'oldies' out there! I haven't reached object pronouns yet and have found several lessons that held me back already so at least I have been forewarned and will try not to get discouraged when I reach them. Well done you for getting through the barrier :)
Rompip: I was cruising along, thinking "I've got this" and then I found out I was just scratching the surface. The journey is certainly worth it. What, to me, makes the difference is all the help back here.
I hated this lesson, I had to start those lessons from beginning so many times, and I never succeded to finish more than two lessons in one day. I got rid of them, but I still don't think I can use them properly, so I will return to them from time to time.
Very well:) You deserve a lingot but to give it to you I need you to reply my comment ;)
Hola Noe, I'm ok on the lingot. Thanx though. What makes me feel good is to know I am not the only one, sitting all by himself working my butt off learning a language. Don't get me wrong, I am thoroughly enjoying this. I truly appreciate Duolingo. If it weren't for this program I would have never known there were people actually willing to take the time to help. What is also super is I have been able to help folks, even at my level. Thanx again.
