Translation:The mosquito is an enemy of human beings.
It really is. I'm just going through all the lessons again to get all the levels filled up to satisfy my sense of completion. In the meantime I hired a tutor and am taking lessons twice a week. Learning heaps!
Hiring a tutor money well spent. Like you, I am trying to finish the course. If not for Huy_Ngo and his help in Sentence Discussion and now as a Contributor to fix things, I would have quit this course early on.
Over the years, I tutored many Vietnamese in English to pass interviews for travel visas, citizenship and just to learn it, now it is my turn. I hope to return to Vietnam later this year and stay awhile and attend a university in Saigon to become fluent. I get by with basic conversations and have come far but I see I have much farther to go.
I cannot hear the word ''một'',and as the pic above,I was written a sentence without ''một'' and it said I'm wrong. =(
It says một so according to what we've been taught so far 'an enemy' should definitely be accepted.
It is the silent một. Seriously, it is not spoken. Duolingo fail of two years duration.
Yes, Virginia , there is still no "một" in the audio. It is so frustrating to struggle and spend time to get spoken sentences correct to find out you are wrong for being right.
