German Children's Books
I read that it helps someone learning German for the first time to read children's books written in German. Starting at adult level material can be overwhelming. It was for me. I found a website where a German author has made it possible for anyone to download any of his books in various languages. I hope this may be of help to others.
Exzellent! You may also find Gutenberg.org's website very helpful. It offers books both in audio and print (pdf) format.
I've already opened up the Children's Books section for you in this link: http://www.gutenberg.org/wiki/DE_Kinderbuch_(B%C3%BCcherregal) , but feel free to look around the site as there are many other categories available, and not just in German.
Thank you for the link. I bookmarked it for future use. I'm especially interested in the audio. I am beginning to be able to understand written words, I need to learn more of spoken German.
My pleasure. It is among my top bookmarks for language learning, as well. Best of luck in your studies ebeth.
