Suggestion: Duolingo Dictionary

I have an idea that might be extremely helpful. Duolingo is great and the repeated strengthening of skills and words that have already been learned is a very important part of learning the language. I thought it was be awesome if Duolingo had a Dictionary that kept track of your progress and would update after each lesson to include all the words you have learned, kept in one convenient place.

If anyone agrees and knows how to send this suggestion to the good folks at Duolingo for consideration, that would be awesome!

Thanks!

This exists. It's called the words tab. It isn't available in the Norwegian course but there is a workaround:

  1. Switch to a tree that has the words tab available (french, Spanish, etc.)
  2. Open a duplicate window in your browser
  3. Change the first window back to the Norwegian tree
  4. Click on the words tab in the second window

I haven't found a way to sort the words alphabetically, so if you want to look something up, use Ctrl-F.

Few and few courses has word tabs. It has been removed. They still exist in the Duolingo classes.

2 solutions: 1. Switch/duplicate the languages as the above user said. The dictionary magically appears then. 2. Even better, there are external sites like http://www.memrise.com/course/691524/duolingo-norwegian/ which have most of the norwegian Duolingo vocabulary needed for this whole course (at least for the V.1 'old' tree, since there are just 87 skill lists there, and not the whole V.2 tree)
