"Do you like Manchester?"
Translation:Dych chi'n hoffi Manceinion?
In variant dych chi'n licio it says: almost correct and corrects dych to dach. Is it just a small discrepancy or something real?
"Dach" is the north walian form of "Dych" though both should be accepted whenever the other is acceptable.
dych chi is fine with both licio, hoffi. There was a typo in the answers, now fixed.
Dach chi as a spelling of one of the several dialect pronunciations of Dych chi is covered in the section on 'Dialects'. It is always available as an acceptable answer.
Other dialect variations such as dech chi, ych chi, ŷch chi, etc are not covered as they are generally met with less often. Unfortunately, there are too many dialects in Wales to do them all justice in a course such as this. For those people learning Welsh in Wales, the local Cymraeg i Oedolion providers will cover local dialect variations as part of their courses. More advanced courses will also introduce elements of dialects from outside the local area for interest.
I agree that all the variations are too numerous to include but as Mynediad learners in Wales learn one of either dych chi or dach chi, both these should be allowed in all sentences in Duolingo.
