Auf Deutsch: Hin und Her ?

"Hin und zurück" ist vielleicht genauer hier. :)
"Her" (hierher) wäre eher ide.

Is "There and back" correct?

That is an even better translation.

They suggest előre-hátra but yet when it is put into the system the system marks it wrong?!!! What does előre hátra mean?

Előre-hátra is more literally "forth and back": to the front, and to the back.
Oda és vissza is "to someplace else, and back again (to here)".

I can accept that this is somewhat colloquial, but I followed the order (vissza és oda) and this was rejected.

Vissza és oda doesn't make a lot of sense since you have to leave to a different place first (oda) before you can return (vissza).
