"Słuchaliśmy wtedy radia."

Translation:We were listening to the radio then.

August 21, 2016

I wrote "We were listening then to the radio" and was told it was wrong. Please explain!

From what I was told, your answer needs commas ("We were listening, then, to the radio") and given that Duolingo ignores punctuation, we are not very keen on accepting such answers. Besides, if "then" is in fact an inclusion (not sure if that's the right English term), then its Polish equivalent should be "Słuchaliśmy, wtedy, radia".

Thank you. I was aware of the none use of commas, etc. That is the reason I asked. Your explanation gave me the answer.
