This is a shortened, idiomatic version of the expression Beth sy'n bod arnot ti?:

  • beth? - what?
  • sy - is it that is [a relative form of mae]
  • yn - [linking particle for incomplete action, not translatable]
  • bod - being
  • arnot ti - on you

In casual speech it may sometimes be shortened even further to just Be' sy?.
