Duolingo is the most popular way to learn languages in the world. Best of all, it's 100% free!

coi ro do

Hello everyone. Can't wait until moderators allow to add Lojban for English speakers.

Right now I'm developing two free courses on Lojban:

  1. https://docs.google.com/presentation/d/1Yrxt9gAtqA_oSDD76Toq8VLSZjjOxJ5rkKsxFs3Cw8E/edit?usp=drive_web

  2. http://mw.lojban.org/index.php?title=L17-01

It's all in alpha stage. So I have plenty of work to do but when Lojban is added I'll immediately include Duolingo into the list of my projects.

Until then let's study other languages!

It's been 4 years. How's it going? I'm really interested to learn Lojban.

Thanks. I was wondering how Lojban was structured. This was a nice overview.

It will be fascinating to see if Duo permits constructed languages on the Incubator as they don't seem relevant to the business model.

They've got Esperanto

They also have Klingon. Yay (sarcasticly stated).

I think Lojban is an interesting concept, but there's one problem ;) (Joking of course)

Well, here is the debunking picture. http://s3.amazonaws.com/stripgenerator/strip/57/84/06/00/00/full.png

For the non-lojbanists out there, {a'ucu'i} means "I don't care".

Honestly, a course in Lojban would be great at boosting its popularity. Hopefully, they find a way to include certain rules and features: for example, they should include rafsi along with their respective gismu; I've heard too many complaints that rafsi and lujvo are bad features because they don't know what the rafsi are.

So glad to hear your interest. Lojban, while not popular, is really liked by me and it does pain me to hear people's disinterest to it for its "unnatural" grammar.

In case you don't know, I'd recommend >http://www.lojban.org/publications/wordlists/gismu.txt >http://www.lojban.org/publications/wordlists/rafsi.txt >http://www.lojban.org/publications/wordlists/lujvo.txt >http://www.lojban.org/publications/wordlists/cmavo.txt to help you learn vocabulary.

I'd also recommend http://www.lojban.org/jboski to test your ability. Lojban→English translator.

Thanks so much for the resources! I don't understand why people would turn away from Lojban because of it's grammar when it's one of the most fascinating things about it. It reminds me of Japanese because of it's particles.
