They are both classifiers that can be used when referring to anything that resembles books. They can be used interchangeably, so it doesn't matter which one you use. There is more information in the Tips & Notes Section for Classifiers 1.

We read some books = Chúng tôi đọc một vài quyển sách.
In this lesson, we've not introduced "some" in Vietnamese yet. So all the sentences wouldn't include "some".
