Exactly. In Hebrew, which poem is divided into "houses" (בית).
So, בית means a regular house, like everyone knows, and also it's the part of a poem/song.
By the way, the part that we repeatedly sing in every song, between the "houses" is called: פיזמון = Pizmon
Not sure if Arabic influence or what, but in Arabic and Persian poetry (Which have a long history of rhyming and matching syllable lengths and other artistic features), "Bayt" also refers to a verse, which is ,.. a beautiful metaphor now that you think abiut it.
